Tomorrow at New York University, Abu Dhabi I will give an hour’s presentation and listening session on women using electronics from the 30s to the present day, and Chris Weaver will be delivering a practical workshop on how to build a synthesiser from Twitter text algorithms. It’s free and open to the public, all you need a laptop with a demo of MaxMSP on it. Or for mine, a pair of ears.
The talk builds on the film and discussion series we ran in September 2014 at Tashkeel on Sound Art and the workshop on a beginners guide to MaxMSP at American University of Dubai earlier this year.
