The image is from a photo I took in the street in Abu Dhabi. Chris Weaver and I were there in July scouting locations for our performance during ISEA2014 (International Symposium of Electronic Art), as part of our residency at Tashkeel, Dubai. We’ll have the performance alongside a major sound installation at the Ward Gallery Al Quoz on 8th November, with an experimental choir of architects, engineers singing back to the natural frequencies of the building, as it rings itself out over speakers.
Also in this issue are Iranian artist Farhad Moshiri, a look at Istanbul’s arts scene and London’s Frieze.
