“PSA – Public Service Announcement”, 9’49”, 2025 is a video-sound piece heavily influenced by the work of feminist poet Forugh Farrokhzad, who in 1963 made a PSA film called The House Is Black. The pain and dignity of the subjects is made clear without any direct narrative except what is intuited through her poems, the visuals and the sound.
Group Exhibition – Unfolding Narratives, Elephant and Castle
This week in March, University of the Arts, London (UAL) presents the Unfolding Narratives series. I’m in the group show, giving a performance and presenting paper on my PhD research in a hugely colourful, cross-disciplinary symposium. For the group show I explore the significance of being visible and audible in an increasingly surveilled society.
