Women, Life, Freedom Radio Special

It has been over 60 days since the murder of Mahsa Amini by Iran’s official militia.

I decided to use some of my skills to give Iranian women a platform to speak, to be played outside Iran directly, and spread an open call. I asked women from Iran to think about what we overseas should know, and what we might do, and there are surprising, important results. I also got to question a seasoned and renowned activist Steve Marsling about how as a white, cockney teen from South East London he ended up helping bring down the bloody regime of apartheid in South Africa.

Some useful tips from Steve, and heartbreaking voices of Iranian women, please be aware this audio is not for kids. Below, it is transcribed to help make the English more accessible internationally.

Broadcast on Resonance104.4FM on air on 104.4FM across London, on digital radio and streamed online.
